Function & Design
The Mothership of all our packs, the EMR is perhaps the most versatile ruck built for long-range missions.
At 7,500 cubic inches, this is one big pack that can handle enormous amounts of gear, yet controlling volume is easy and can compress to handle smaller loads.

Modularity.
Accepts all MOLLE compatible pockets. Ample PALS webbing allows pockets to be added to top, side and front.

Buy the EMR as:
- a complete ruck (see how to convert your EMR into a freight hauler, below)
- a dedicated hauler Click here to see many of the configurations possible.

Substitute our Ultralight Composite Stays for weight savings for an additional $40.00.

Removable Duplex Frame
The Duplex frame earns its name with its ability to convert to a comfortable, very capable freight hauler. Simply slide it right out of the pack body, add an optional CargoChair, and you can haul out any load you're able to lift. There is no weight limit to these frames!

Add a CargoChair to either your pack bag OR the EMR frame for freight hauling.

Removable Waistbelt.
Years of ergonomic studies have culminated in our Duplex Belt. Anatomically correct, it keeps weight off hip bone points and alleviates hot spots. It is also the only belt capable of comfortably handling the loads these packs command. Unlike many of our smaller packs, DuPlex frame packs must use a waistbelt, and are not designed to be used in conjunction with a butt pack.

Order this pack with either traditional aluminum or Kifaru Ultralight composite stays.

back profile

Your pack will come with aluminum stays unless you opt for our composite stays. Our composite stays maximize weight savings and are ideal for a normally contoured back. Add $40.00 for this upgrade.

Folks with will "flat back" anatomoy need to stick with aluminum.

These lids are loaded with PALs webbing, making it easy to configure as a bandolier with multiple mag pouches or a Claymore Pouch. Just click the hood off, click in the Bandolier Strap Kit, and you're ready to throw it over your shoulder and go. The cupped underside of the hood let's you stash a jacket or even a Claymore Pouch in this spot.

Expansion, compression.
Your pack bag has a wide latitude of load control.

Expansion

The Snow Collar  is an extendible tube that adds volume to your pack bag. Top hood extends with it to provide compression.

You can also throw gear on the top of your ruck (with or without the Snow Collar extended) and cinch it down with the Top Hood.

Compression

Ample compression straps let you shrink volume from the top, the bottom and the sides to fit your load. You get 8 total - 3 on each side and 2 on the bottom compartment.
You also get vertical compression from the Top Hood straps.
These straps also center and stabilize the load.
No slop, no noise.

optional GunBearer System lets you carry monstrous loads with the security of your quick-at-hand firearm (photo shown on EMR pack).

Quick and efficient, this System  is a unique way of  docking, locking, and compressing our pockets onto the host pack with just a couple of  maneuvers. Better yet, with a single stroke, you can pop the pouch or pocket off and charge with just the necessities. The D&L's compression/attachment system compacts and stabilizes the pocket  for a rock solid, "sewn-on" feel.
