Introducing the latest in high tech ultralight shelter systems for operators in the field.
The ParaHootch stands alone as the ultimate bivy / basha / hootch setup.
Using ultralight paraglider fabric in its construction, this fabric is half the weight and twice the strength of 1.9oz. ripstop nylon.
It is silicone impregnated on both sides, making it absolutely windproof and waterproof.
The ParaHootch itself weighs only 11oz. without poles or pegs. A Pole & Peg Kit is available as an option. The ParaHootch complete with the pole and peg kit, only weighs 1lb. 13oz.. See the photos for a size comparison to a 1 liter Nalgene bottle. If you want to pitch it with a pole type system, and not use our Pole & Peg Kit, you can use tree branches, trekking poles, ski poles, pack stays, etc.. Or you can pitch it just as you would a poncho hootch with 550 cord and/or bungees. It is very versatile when it comes to setup.

The Peg & Pole Kit is optional, for those who can't rely on the environment for their anchors. The Peg & Pole Kit makes sure you have everything to set up your shelter. Better yet, the poles "nest" inside each other, meaning you can control the elevation of your pitch.
