Your Adapter comes with 4 parts:
2 lower waistbelt attachments, 1 for each side, and...
2 upper attachments, 1 for each side
.

  Waistbelt Attachments.
The lower attachment is a simple way to plug your small pack into the larger one, and allow quick release in case you need to eject it.

1. The 3 Bar.
Each lower attachment has a "three Bar" that attaches to the belt of your bigger (host) pack. Simply thread this through ONE of the bars on the host pack.

2. Buckling. The other end (either a male or female buckle) snaps into the reciprocal buckle on your smaller pack, i.e.,  male Adapter plugs into the female buckle of your small pack on one side, female Adapter will plug into the male buckle on the other. Simply pull on the ends to get good compression.

  Upper Attachments.
These straps (one for each side) stabilize and compress the smaller pack onto the larger one, yet allow quick release should you need it.

  1. The "Guest" pack.
This buckle simply slides over and fastens to ANY PALS on your pack. Don't be deceived - this is a remarkably reliable attachment.

2. The "Host" Pack.
The other end of your upper strap slides through ONE of the triangular shaped rings on your large pack.
Now just tighten up the straps, and you have a solid ride.
