We've been in the shelter business since 1984 (formerly as Mountainsmith Mountain Shelters), so we've learned a thing or two about sustainability in the outback. Our shelters are extremely effective, portable and windproof and are, without a doubt, the state of the art when it comes to design and materials. From bivy style on up to command post size, we've developed the most portable, lightweight roomiest shelters available - in fact, they all have the ability to compress into a backpackable size. Kifaru Tipis
These Tipis have been the shelters of choice in the civilian market, most notably at the base camps of places like Mt. Everest or Denali, and on cross county treks in Antarctica and Greenland. Now available in Coyote Brown, our Tipis are ideally suited as a command post, cook shelter or easily portable housing with plenty of elbow room.
