The Siwash is specifically designed for mountain hunting in the sheep/goat style. This 4200 cubic inch pack  is spot-on for the man with modern, compact camp gear. Very slight profile too, since it's a lithe panel loader. Access is complete--just zip it wide open and rummage, it's all in plain view. Or access any nook by opening the dual zippers just where you want. Sleeping bag compartment has a barrier you can use...or not use if you need a top-to-bottom straight shot the whole length of the bag. The suspension system is a step up from the LateSeason but still remarkably light  and compact. It will easily handle 85% of the load our state-of-the-art LongHunter will. If you have up-to-date gear and know-how this is the  long range pack you've been waiting for. It won't compete head-to-head with the  mighty LongHunter but for "those" kinds of trips--light, fast and far--it has no peer
