The Frame.
The heart and soul of the LongHunter is the frame. Deceptively lightweight, this workhorse uses state-of-the-art materials and a lifetime of experience in its engineering. It can handle just about any weight you throw at it, and is able to fit any man. More comfort means more strength for the duration.

The Framesheet consists of two primary elements:
1. Twin contoured aluminum stays provide support for the heaviest of loads without distortion. These are aircraft grade, and are removable so that you can bend them to the shape of YOUR back, or use 'em for an emergency splint.
2. High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) spreads weight efficiently over your entire back, and provides the mounting surface for the suspension.

The Suspension.
Like a car, the weight of the "vehicle" is suspended on the frame. It is not loaded directly onto the frame - this would cause stress points and discomfort.  With our suspension, you get shock absorption that greatly alleviates bone jarring pain,  and you get the ability to distribute that weight wherever you desire over the frame.
   
 

SHOULDER WIDTH ADJUSTMENT lets you pull the stays together for narrow shoulders or spread them apart for broad ones.

CONTOURED
SHOULDER STRAPS
 hug your shoulders without cutting   in. UPPER LIFT STRAPS pull the weight up and off your shoulders, distributing it to your back and hips. They adjust for height, and even adjust independently if your shoulders are not symmetrical!

RECESSED SPINAL CAVITY ensures no contact is made with your spine for added comfort and allows ventilation.

LUMBAR PAD snugs the weight into your hip area

CONTOURED WAIST BELT smears weight around your hips without creating "hot spots". It removes, letting you swap for a longer or shorter belt. Women's contoured belts are available!

A Custom Fit.
 Our LongHunter  frames and suspensions are designed to move with you, and are exquisitely tailored to fit your dimensions. When you place your order, please specify the following:
- your height
- your  waist size
- your inseam length
- your weight
- whether you are right or left handed.
Your pack will arrive custom fit to you, and you can  further fine tune it for best comfort and performance.

"After much research I purchased, or more correctly, my wife purchased for me at Christmas, a Long Hunter pack. I was skeptical about going to an internal frame pack due to stories that you can't carry as much and so on. However, after using it for spring bear hunting I found that our research was correct.
1. It is definitely quieter than my other packs. That's important when it comes to hunting.
2. I packed out a bear down the mountain this week that squared 5'9". I brought out the bones, hide, head and all in one pack load. It was the most comfortable pack that I ever had the pleasure of overloading. And the myth that you can't carry as much in an internal frame has been shattered in my mind.
