Linda, try not to dress up your argument in so much emotionally charged rhetoric. Just as you charge against Tim, it diminishes what you have to say.
Your main argument appears to be that Tim did not report on time therefore Tim will and should be strung up. We'll see. He has nearly his whole state on his side and this may come down to states' rights v the Feds.
Other ancillary arguments include that certain actions on Tim's part render his story unbelievable.
Lets take your main argument about time reporting, which you have chosen to isolate in this incident. What is the point of the 24 hr. period? Why would it matter if he waited? Forensics? You know the darn animal was shot. This seems the least important aspect of the incident other than giving the Feds a rope to hang Tim in retaliation, as you've noted. From what I've read from Tim, he seems to be concerned with larger issues.
If you do not believe this is about freedom, why don't you spend your time crafting a refutation of the claim that the wolf re-introduction is a step in the process of eliminating gun ownership? This, I believe, is the central issue here.
