Thanks JF! Couple more ?'s I'm thinking about the Leupold 3x9 compact for my .270 out here in AZ. For your 7-08 you want to go to a 2x7. Is there something about the 3x9 you don't like - or just preference for this caliber and hunting situation? Did your groups come after the bedding, barrel shortening, other mods.? And why did'nt you bed the barrel? DJ - I did go down and look at the 30-06 and the trigger - much better than I thought - just as you said. This broke crisply at around 4lbs (estimate). JF when you adjusted the trigger, did you replace the spring? Thanks All!! DPM
