For those of you that enjoy a ramble in the bush with minimal gear and rifle, I must recommend "Alaska Wolfman" by Jim Reardon. This Federal Wolf Control hunter was a rambling hunter of our Alaskan neighborhood in the first half of the 20th century. My respect for his ability grows everytime I think of his treks through my hunting areas. A great piece of non-fiction.
