I have a Pygmy Queen Charlotte that I built many years ago. They hold a lot of gear, especially if you have hatches to make packing more efficient. Also, weight is no object. I have paddled in Mexico with a five gallon water jug between my knees with no discomfort. This was not in a Pygmy, but it could have been. The point is, you are not limited to the space in the two ends of the boat for packing. If you have any Pygmy questions, ask away. I have just purchased a Paratipi and am waiting for the stove to arrive. I hope to use it kayaking here in the Northwest. By the way, has anyone tried discarging a deer rifle from a sea kayak?
