Tim, on one hand you say the wolf and collar were moved from the spot of the shooting. Then you lead the USFW agents directly to the spot where the wolf lay. So was it you that moved the wolf? One of your friends? Maybe a black bear was feeding on it, moved it to that spot, then called to tell you where he put it so if you needed to defend yourself you'd have evidence. And the new spot was a five mile hike not a sixteen mile hike. Why didn't you pack out the shorter distance to report the incident? Even if this was inconvenient to do, you still waited two weeks to report it to law enforcement (as required by law and what any responsible and ethical sportsman would've done). Why? No phones at your house or any where else in Central ID? Or are you just a criminal who needed time and help to come up with an obviously untrue but good enough story?
In your story of the days events you say that several hours after you shot the wolf you went back to look at it and it had already begun decomposing and was fed upon. If that's true then how could there be any of it left over two weeks later?
