As Patrick states, the condensation is mostly a summer issue. My solutions are as follows: I cut a blue plastic tarp to fit inside the tipi with a flapped cutout for the stove. This floor goes in a seperate bag and can be taken along or left behind depending on weather/weight considerations. The second solution is a liner. I purchased a liner with my Mountainshelter some 10 years ago and use it when conditions dictate. It is a breathable fabric (dacron, if my memory serves me) that goes from the bottom of the tipi about 2/3 up. easy to install so it can be left behind when weight is a real factor. The condensation is still there, you just have a barrior between you and the coated fabric. Don't know if Patrick is planning to make liners again or not.

As for Sea Kayaks, they are also terrific for big lakes and many large rivers such as the Missouri. I plan to paddle and hunt some remote sections of the Missouri for mulies & pronghorn one of these day. The kayaks will easily hold as much as a really big backpack, and with some long high volume boats several backpacks worth of gear. Great transportation and quite as well. The 2-man para-tipi with the the new small stove and roll up stove pipe, takes up very little space in a hatch and is an ideal rig for the solo hunter and not bad for two. Ed
