STEP 1. Load the CargoChair with about 30 pounds, put the Freighter on and tighten the waistbelt securely. Center stitchline on the belt should be right over your hipbone points.

STEP 2. Pull down on the shoulder straps to wrap them snugly around your shoulders.

STEP 3. The 3-Bar slider (shown) should be resting on your collar bone, and form a triangle (15-30 degrees) to the frame. If this is not the case, do not attempt to slide this bar. Instead ...

STEP 4. properly place this 3-Bar slider with the pulley system in back. Take off the Freighter, and raise or lower each shoulder harness at the buckle. You can even adjust them independently for your anatomy!. |

STEP 5. Put the pack back on and pull down on the shoulder strap riser to elevate the straps off the top of your shoulders. You should have about an inch of clearance. This loads the weight on to your back and hip area - not your shoulders.

STEP 6. Fine tune the fit at the shoulders. Your Freighter comes set for regular shoulders. Pull the shoulder straps together here if you have narrower shoulders. |
