The Koala rips right open with one pull on the rip-tab - you DO NOT have to use the zipper pulls. The zipper pull configuration keeps the pouch securely closed until you yank the rip-tab. Speed of access is unbelievable. Shown on a standard Koala, but gun panel features are the same with any model.
