The Carrying System
All 3 models are built around the outstanding comfort of the DuPlex Frame and Suspension. A flexible contoured internal frame with rigid, aircraft aluminum stays transfers weight to your hips via a custom fitted cupped and contoured waistbelt. Contoured shoulder straps are designed to stabilize the load on your back without slipping. Pack weights of 80 to 100 lbs. are not unreasonable with the LongHunter System. We've experimented with loads of 180 lbs. without damage to the pack, or the person carrying it. Want proof? The LongHunter Rendezvous is the result of feedback from our guides - who typically carry their gear, their client's gear, and big game - often for many days at a time. At 8,500 cubic inches, this is the largest, strongest hunting pack available. We're not worried that a pack can handle monstrous loads, but can you?

The top lid is fully featured, letting it work as a stand-alone product.
You can remove the top lid and convert it to a lumbar pack.
Just remove the Pocket and unfurl the waistbelt (stored in its own sleeve). Attach the Delta Straps - they pull the weight into your lumbar area for maximum comfort. Add your GunBearer Cradle for the buttstock .The shoulder sling (stored inside the Pocket) provides greater stability, and will accept your upper GunBearer Strap. Just load your pack and rifle, and you are all set for a light day's hunt from basecamp!

The original explorers who crossed the
Appalachians were called Long Hunters, and the name carried over into the era of the Free Trappers of the Rocky Mountains (whom we call Mountain Men). It implies traveling long distances away from civilization in search of game. Real adventure!

Pack Care

• Never machine wash y our pack - the agitation can damage the waterproof coating.

• Never use bleach.

• To clean, simply sponge bathe with some Woolite and hang dry.

• Be sure to clean any organic materials, such as food or blood that might mildew during storage.

• Never store your pack in directly sunlight (such as a window). UV rays can eventually cause some of the color to fade.
