This is a large ultralight bag intended to "hang" inside our KU packs and contain meat and/or quarters. It hangs well above the pack bottom from the pack frame, thus keeping such heavy loads "elevated" for more comfortable carry. It also is compressible around it’s circumference to "shape" (and secure) the load–keeping it from being a bowling ball-like lump. The elevation height is infinitely adjustable for just the "right" location, as well as to allow more, or less, room for carrying gear above or below the bag itself. It will also hang upside down outside the pack for drainage (there’s a handle on the bottom). Will hold up through elk quarters or a hundred pounds of boned out meat.

Works with all our packs, although the larger standard Kifaru packs already have a built-in "meat shelf" (which also functions as the sleeping bag divider) for keeping heavy meat loads above the pack bottom. Still, some users will appreciate it’s stand-alone character for storage, draining, etc.

Just run the 3 bar buckle through the common loop inside pack bag   ... and the weight hangs from the frame, not your shoulders.
