un-Bivy Style
Like a bivy when packed, these shelters are tiny enough to throw inside your pack. Unlike a bivy, they are enormous when deployed - no claustrophobia. These models are particularly suited for military or back country use due to their extreme light weight.

Tipis
These Tipis have been the shelters of choice in the civilian market, most notably at the base camps of places like Mt. Everest or Denali, and on cross county treks in Antarctica and Greenland. Now available in Coyote Brown, our Tipis are ideally suited as a command post, disaster housing or cook shelter or easily portable housing with plenty of elbow room.

We've been in the shelter business since 1984 (formerly as Mountainsmith Mountain Shelters), so we've learned a thing or two about sustainability in the outback. Our shelters are extremely effective, portable and windproof and are, without a doubt, the state of the art when it comes to design and materials.

"..... nights were probably in the mid to low 50's by morning. I started the nights with the Woobie wrapped under me, and only half over me, by morning I had it completely around me. I was easily as comfortable, as I am in a light summer bag in comparable temps, and it works better in a hammock than a bag. With some warmer clothes on I think I could go into the 40's pretty easily. My wife is a little warmer sleeper than me and I didn’t here one peep out of her that sounded like a complaint.

What has been said about the "soft hand" or "drape" of the material is true. It does a good job of conforming to your shape, and by doing that, it cuts out many of the cold spots. Also, another benefit is that I think by putting it inside my 15 deg WM bag it will add considerable warmth on really cold nights, even though around her that’s not much of a problem. I still like the idea of being able to push it into cooler temp ranges if needed comfortably. I know it is expensive, but in my opinion it’s worth it.

BTW: FWIW, my wife who is not a big-time camper, and this being her first try at hammock camping, absolutely loved the Woobie I got her. I detected some attachment on her part to her new Woobie. She repeatedly reminded me to make sure I loaded them up and brought them in the house after me got home. She wanted to make sure I stored them correctly and that nothing could get at them. And she doesn’t even know how much they cost.
